Trespa Meteon Cladding, Light Steel Framing (LSF)
Hollybrook
2010
Located at Queens Rd, Southend-on-Sea, the University of Essex's Southend Campus Accommodation, renowned as University Square, is a dynamic architectural marvel, brilliantly designed by Stephen Marshall Architects and constructed by Hollybrook. The vivid mix of colours combined with state-of-the-art cladding techniques makes this building a standout landmark in Southend-on-Sea.
Our role in this project emphasised innovation and quality:
The cladding's playful puzzle-like design, amalgamating colours like Carmine Red, Steel Blue, and Pure White, alongside three custom RAL colors, creates an enticing visual that resonates with the youthful energy of a university campus.
Trespa® Meteon® is a leading name when it comes to cladding. These panels are renowned for their weather resistance; they withstand sun, rain, or moisture, ensuring that colors remain vibrant for at least a decade, even in harsh climatic or polluted conditions.
Furthermore, Trespa® Meteon® panels are easy to maintain due to their pore-free surface structure, making them dirt-resistant. They are also resistant to household cleaning agents, organic solvents, and have a high pull-out strength for fixings. One of their standout features is their fire-resistant nature. In the event of a fire, these panels don't melt, drip, or explode, maintaining their stability.
Offering flexibility in design, Trespa® Meteon® panels come in a variety of sizes, thicknesses, and finishes, from satin and rock texture to gloss. They're also environmentally friendly, ensuring that the building is not just striking but also sustainable.
