Dmitro Facades delivered a multi-system roofing package for the renovation and extension of Mount Ephraim House, a historic house on Mount Ephraim in Royal Tunbridge Wells redeveloped as a dementia care home for Greensleeves Care. The package combined warm roofs with 140mm insulation, cold roofs and a green roof in the Protan J42 membrane family, a standing-seam metal roof, and terrace paving on pedestals, together with dormers, kitchen and link roofs, upstands, flashings, gutters, outlets and soil vent pipes, delivered for main contractor Frencon Construction Ltd.

The development's garden-facing elevation, its curved brick bay carrying a roof terrace above a glazed link room, in keeping with the roofing package's scope of terraces and link roofs across this side of the building as well as the main roofline.

History and recognition
A roof package recognised by the Royal Tunbridge Wells Civic Society.
Mount Ephraim House is a historic house on Mount Ephraim, extended from late 2016 into the dementia care home run today by Greensleeves Care. Dmitro Facades priced the roofing package in 2019 and worked across both the original house and its new wing, rebuilding the roof to meet current insulation and fire standards while keeping the building’s historic roofline.
The roofing package’s treatment of the historic structure was recognised with a Royal Tunbridge Wells Civic Society Award in 2022, ahead of the wider care home reopening in 2023 with more capacity than before.
On the standing-seam roof, Traditional Textures coil coating was specified in place of Colorcoat Urban.
